酸洗板就是热轧板通过除磷等工序用酸洗表面得到比热轧表面性能更好的钢板，冷板是指在常温状态下轧制而成的钢板，由于冷轧应力大，一般要经过退火工序。区别二：生产工艺不同，酸洗板是以优质热轧薄板为原料，经酸洗机组去除氧化层、切边、精整的过程，冷板则是在常温下轧制而成。热轧酸洗涂油板是汽车业需要的新钢种，其较好的表面质量、厚度公差、加工性能，可以替代车身覆盖件和以往用冷轧板生产的汽车零部件，由此降低原材料成本10%左右。随着经济的发展，汽车的生产也大幅增加，板材的使用量不断提高，国内汽车行业许多车型的零部件原设计要求使用热轧酸洗板，如：轿车的副车架、车轮轮辐、前后桥总成、卡车箱板、防护网、汽车大梁以及零配件等，由于国内热轧酸洗板的供应不足，汽车厂一般用冷板或热板代替或自行酸洗。
